Kyle Typing: “Chen, I wanted to know if you wanted to get together and talk a little about universal basic services.”

Kyle Typing: “Our previous conversations about job guarantees and modern portfolio theory, got me thinking. Shouldn’t universal public services be part of that conversation too? To move to a post-growth world, universal public services, things like universal basic income, and a four-day workweek could also be implemented.

Kyle Typing: “If you would like to discuss these things further, would you want to grab a bite to eat later this week to discuss? I’ve learned a lot from our talks at work and would like to see what else is on your mind. Please let me know. Kyle.

Guang: “Did Kyle just ask you out?”

Chen: “I think so.”

Guang: “What are you going to do?”

Chen: “When you find a man who wants to listen to you talk about socio-economic theory - you let him.”
