Riya: “So I told Brad that I sold my car.”
Kara: “What’d he say?”
Riya: “He said I was taking this degrowth thing too far.”
Alice: “That is a pretty drastic move.”
Riya: “But I live in town and hardly use it.”
Kara: “How’d you get out here?”
Riya: “Brad dropped me off, but he’s not picking me up. He’s going to a concert with Vince.”
Alice: “My Vince?”
Riya: “That’s the only one I know.”
Kara: “But Vince dropped us off!”
Kara: “I think this degrowth lifestyle of yours might take more planning.”
Alice: “You might want to let government policy catch up with you. Like when they have a bus that comes out here.”
Alice: “Call an Uber.”
Riya: “There is no reception out here.”
Alice: “How far is the walk back into town?”
Riya: “Eight miles.”
Kara: “I’m calling Brad.”
