“What is the purpose of government?”
- Creating and enforcing laws to maintain order?
“Wrong.”
- Protecting citizens’ rights?
“Wrong.”
- Providing safety and security to the population?
“Wrong.”
- Collecting taxes so those taxes can provide public goods such as roads, schools, libraries, hospitals?
“Wrong.”
- Providing a broad organizing structure for like in a community, allowing people to share resources and pursue common goals?
“Wrong.”
- Well, I’m stumped. What is it then?
“To exploit their citizens for profit.”
- Of course. It was so obvious, I didn’t think of that.
It's sad but that seems to be the main function of our current governments
