Throughout history, during times of great change, things get messy. Whether because of war or some natural catastrophe; when things go bad, more and more of the most vulnerable people come to be seen as disposable.
The policrisis we face is likely to be no different. The language used will likely be more polite but make no mistake, sacrifice zones are what we will see. More and more people and places on Earth may come to be seen as disposable in pursuit of saving our current way of life for the rest.
This is what we must avoid - any sort of chaos is likely to be deadly.
