Thank you to everyone here for subscribing to this Substack. I started this about a year ago to help expand the conversation around degrowth. I have seen that the more people understand what a degrowth path would mean, the more they think of that as a positive option.

The growth of this community has coincided with increased discussion of degrowth in the media and more interest in degrowth from the average person. Partly because of my work here, I have been invited to speak and meet with some of the leading global degrowth voices. I have the people in this community to thank for helping to grow that interest.

Please continue to introduce others to this community if you feel they would be interested, and please continue to reach out to me with your comments and thoughts. If there is anything I am missing that you think I should talk about, let me know.

You can see where in the United States most of the people here come from. If you know people in those seven states not here yet, invite them.

Here is the global map. Pretty good coverage. Having one subscriber in Greenland would make this map look a lot more impressive.

This is the chart that shows weekly visits to Degrowth is the Answer. That huge drop-off at the end of last year is taking a week off at Christmas. That huge blip in June is the Global Degrowth Conference in June where Degrowth was a big topic among those attending. Overall, the trend looks good.
