This is absolutely correct, Matt. I wonder if you got inspired from a note I published some time ago, saying that especially in an age of information abundance, the single best skill one can cultivate is critical thinking.
Certainly enough people value critical thinking, but I am not sure if there are many of us who actually consider it the best skill one can develop. I'm glad you do too, and I hope more people will see the value of it and, above all, spend time cultivating it. We live in a time where thinking is increasingly outsourced to the machines (AI, etc.).
I am a fan of these posts of yours, by the way; the ones with pictures and single lines in between. I find them cool and to the point :)
