Degrowth can either happen with a plan, or it can happen without one. It's going to happen one way or another. It's already under way with killing heat waves, fossil fuel created billion dollar storms, increasingly frequent, a gallon of olive oil costing $50, insurers pulling out of markets, and the impending fail of fossil fuels, destined to become too difficult and expensive to extract. We are completely unprepared.
