I can see the UK falling apart most likely like the ones I mentioned. I did not know the Maoris were unhappy, so thank you for that info.

Yes, I think China and India have the potential to spin apart into multiple statelets each as things fall apart.

That's a good point. I don't think they will be doing very well, but those maps likely won't change - except maybe England which could loose Scotland.

I don't see how the UK, Ireland, Iceland and New Zealand will survive after factoring in the collapse of AMOC, surely they will become too cold to grow crops and support a population.

I just read Ugo’s this morning and commented. We didn’t plan this, honest. :)

Naaaaw.. your crystal ball is very cloudy … We have just come off a failed journey of globalization that has allowed the migration of people trade and wealth across national borders and that is now ending with both negative prosperity and much more unfriendly geopolitics forcing nations to well.. become nations again.. and they will start to form more rigid and much more localized and secure trade blocs with a firmer focus on “citizens come first”.

Those that cannot team up into local blocs will suffer the most.

The USMCA with its larger and strong resource base of energy water technology and smart people with the youngest projected consumer/workforce on the planet will do just fine. Especially if they stay away from the distractions of the hoax of the climate emergency.

Eventually south America will join the USMCA to become a large continental entity so that It becomes a north to south economy with the benefit of a variable climate.

The EU will struggle to do the same as it does not have a local and friendly energy resource and its largest industrial nation Germany has screwed itself with the move away from Nuclear and will take time to reset although its politically moving in the correct direction.

The war zones in the middle east and on the Russian borders will continue until a natural victor emerges.

I could go on .. but more in my book at www.nigelsouthwayauthor.com and my Substack.

Like the thought provoking exercise even if I could have some reservations about some of details ! The remaining truth for me is that the ecological collapse in which we are well engaged in will definitely impact our political maps (physically and/or mentally). I like to talk about the likely ‘institutional collapses’ that will / are being produced. Institutions not being able to deliver the services / benefits / security that they were designed for. What will kill us first ? The ecological collapse of the capacity of life to maintain itself or the killing resulting of hatred fostered by a growing number of authoritarian regimes riding on pathetic toxic egos of their leaders. Maybe it will be a combination of both factors that will kill us. The worse is that we know there are solutions to prevent this : degrowth and being humble in face of Nature and democracy and empathy ! Enjoy your day !

The Māoris are unhappy and Scottish dissatisfaction will reemerge. So I fail to see how NZ and UK will be unaffected, cartologically.

China and India too will be facing centrifugal forces.
