When the hippies get bought, you have to wonder. Then again, most of the hippies got absorbed long before than Ben and Jerry. One way or another, something's coming. Apparently, we haven't bottomed out. This administration is hellbent on making that happen. That's what it's going to take, and even then in spite of efforts by you, me, and other writers who know the score, most don't understand overshoot controls our destiny. Let's keep working. What else is there to do?
I suggest Yarvin and the remainder of the billionaires sequester themselves on a rocket to Mars and implement their techno-capitalist feudalism there. Their thoughts that billions of us should be turned into batteries or liquidated should be sufficient justification for including a 1-liter bottle of oxygen for each in their rockets. They can also be given box knives to ensure only the strongest suffocate last.
This ageda has been building for years. The WEF has been openly talking about corporate run states for a few decades, rehearsing thier rhetoric when discussing the take over of aid responsibilities from powerful states to support ‘failing’ states (ie … the resource rich developing world) by corporations who would “run” these counties much more “efficiently”, in return for those resources.
What's chilling is the discussion rolls on, without once asking those “failing” states or the people who live in them. Nor does it recall or mention those states are failing because corporations, through powerful governments, have plundered them for centuries. Imperialism and colonialism have always been leading to this end game.
Yes but if you don't have enough money to buy land, you need to think about joining a community or squatting--being stuck in a city where you can't grow your own food or control your own water supply could be a nightmare. I cling to a thing Dmitri Orlov said: No government will protect the rights of absentee landowners after a collapse."
Good article, well analyzes what is going on. Unfortunately, Ben and Jerry sold to Unilever 24 years ago.
Damnit Geoff! Then there truly is no hope.

“… we the people are the mess."
Waddya mean “if”?
We need to protect our money from the coming crash, and then be prepared to buy land.
And we need to protect our minds too from indoctrination

The only way that’ll happen is over my dead body!
